Longbarn Cottages
We have two cottages situated within the courtyard – Johnnygate Grange & Longbarn Cottage, which are both in close proximity to the function room.
The renovated property has 8 double en-suite bedrooms in the 2 neighbouring cottages both have a well proportioned sitting room and a modern kitchen/diner which is perfect for larger groups or corporate mid week meetings.
These must be booked by any wedding party for the night of the party, similarly any private party holding live or dance music must take the accommodation as well.
Our new Bridal suite is also now available in addition to the two cottages.
We can also offer catering or a truly special private chef experience to make your occasion even more memorable.
Close to Chatsworth House and set in beautiful countryside, with the Peak Park on the doorstep and minutes from M1 Junction 29 – giving fantastic access. There is a great selection of local pubs and eateries nearby too.

Johnnygate Grange is situated within the courtyard of Barlow Woodseats Hall. The renovated property has 5 double en-suite bedrooms, one of which is situated on the ground floor with a walk in wet room for our less mobile guests. A well proportioned sitting room and a modern kitchen/diner is perfect for larger groups or corporate midweek meetings.

Barlow and Millthorpe
Barlow Woodseats Hall is situated between the two villages there are excellent pubs and restaurants in both , an attractive walk in the summer but a short car ride in the rain. There are excellent walks from the door, climbing and bike riding in the Peak District and many historic villages and Country Houses including, Chatsworth, Haddon and Hardwick close by.
We are about 20 minutes from J29 on the M1 and the nearest train station is Chesterfield.
Glamping
There is a field where luxury glamping tents can be pitched for additional guests to stay. Furnished with timber low frame beds, memory foam mattresses and fair trade interiors.
